Terms and Conditions

These terms set out what you can expect from NextHire and what we expect from you. Every student can start with a free trial of three practice interviews; after that, continued practice is provided through your school's NextHire subscription.

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating a NextHire account and using the platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

2. Who may use NextHire

NextHire is for enrolled college students practicing for job interviews, and for the department administrators who manage question content for them.

You must sign up with your own school email address. Accounts are personal to you.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done through your account.

Only one device may be signed in to an account at a time. If you sign in somewhere new while another session is active, the new sign-in is refused until the first is signed out. This is deliberate: it prevents an account being shared.

Do not share your credentials, do not use another student's account, and do not attempt to access data that is not yours.

4. What NextHire is, and what it is not

NextHire simulates a job interview and gives you automated feedback on the relevance, pacing and clarity of your answers. It is a practice tool.

It is not a recruitment service, not an assessment of your employability, and not a guarantee of any outcome in a real interview. Scores are generated by an AI model and are indicative only. They are not a grade, and by default no instructor sees them.

Because the questions and feedback are AI-generated, they can occasionally be wrong, repetitive, or unhelpful. Treat the feedback as a prompt to reflect, not as an authority.

5. Content you upload

You may upload resumes and job descriptions to make your practice more relevant. You keep ownership of everything you upload.

By uploading, you confirm that the content is yours to share and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Do not upload anything you are not comfortable having processed by an AI service, and do not upload other people's personal information.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use NextHire only for interview practice. You must not attempt to access another user's account, sessions, transcripts or results, or try to bypass access controls, rate limits, or role restrictions.

You also agree not to upload malicious files or content that is unlawful, harassing, or hateful, not to use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content from the platform, and not to misuse the AI interviewer to generate content unrelated to interview practice.

7. Availability

NextHire depends on third-party services, including an AI provider with usage limits. The platform may be temporarily unavailable, slow, or limited in how many sessions can run at once. It is provided as is, without any guarantee of uptime.

Practice sessions and results may be lost in the event of a technical failure. Download your data if you need to keep a copy.

8. Ending your use

You may delete your account and all your data at any time from Settings → Privacy and data.

Administrators may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms or that is being used to access other students' data.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms can be raised with the NextHire project team through your department administrator.
